Hobbed Worm Shafts

Hobbed or generated worm shafts can be an efficient route when the geometry, material condition, quantity and required finish support it. The method is selected from the controlled print; it is not treated as a lower-grade substitute for every ground design.For a useful RFQ, identify the worm profile, module or pitch, starts, hand, lead data, face width and shaft interfaces. If the part is a replacement, include the mating wheel and reducer reference so the existing mesh is not interpreted from the shaft alone.
