Multi-Start Worm Shafts

Multi-start worm shafts are used when the designed lead, ratio and operating behavior call for more than one thread start. The start count cannot be changed independently on a replacement because it is tied to the mating wheel and the intended motion relationship.Provide the wheel tooth count, ratio, start count, hand and lead data together with shaft interfaces. For a new design, also include speed, load/torque context, duty cycle and lubrication so the drive-level choice can be reviewed coherently.
